    A Reflection of Women’s History Month

    “Women’s History Week” can be dated back to 1981. It was not until 1987 it became Women’s History month and later celebrated yearly. Who knew? Throughout our history, women and young girls have made crucial contributions. Women often faced discrimination and unjustifiable hardship. Fearless women marched for our right to vote, fought against many injustices, and broke the glass ceiling on countless barriers. Women expanded the possibilities of not only the American dream, but made changes across the world.     Time to be seen and heard: Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

    Just about every month of the American calendar uses month long celebrations to bring awareness of an issue, honor an event, or commemorate a cause. March is usually known for Women’s History Month, however, did you know it is also Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month?!?! I had no idea about this observance, meanwhile I have a brother & son with Autism!!
